Product Engineer – Rotor Repair (Heavy Duty Gas Turbine)

About the role

GE Vernova Singapore Services is looking for a Product Engineer – Rotor Repair to lead the Heavy‑Duty gas turbine rotor repair cell. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will drive business transformation for high‑efficiency air‑cooled turbine rotor repairs, ensuring timely service to the regional market.

Key responsibilities

• Assess rotor component conditions and define repair work scope based on engineering requirements.
• Develop and maintain engineering‑based work instructions and product/process qualifications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, implement corrective actions and resolve operational and quality challenges.
• Lead process improvements and introduce new repair methods to boost efficiency and product quality.
• Review incoming condition reports for compliance with technical specifications.
• Support the Cell Leader in meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimise safety, quality, cycle time and productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Power Engineering.
• Experience with gas turbine rotors, rotating machinery or power generation equipment (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and technical communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.
