Production Engineer – Manufacturing & Rack Assembly

About the role

The Production Engineer will design and optimise step‑by‑step manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and high product quality for new projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve non‑conforming parts and support hands‑on assembly activities on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Lot‑Traveler documentation to streamline manufacturing workflows.
• Analyse and manage non‑conforming parts, coordinating with Purchasing and QA to resolve supplier claims.
• Update in‑house documents, jigs and fixtures linked to Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Coordinate production schedules, monitor progress and adjust plans to meet delivery deadlines.
• Train and guide production staff on system rack assembly techniques, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Perform hands‑on assembly tasks on the production line as required.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing, box‑build and rack assembly.
• Proficiency in SAP and MES is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with a hands‑on approach.
• Ability to define requirements for interdisciplinary teams and identify suitable system parameters.
• Competency in MS Office and Google App Sheet applications.
