Production Planner – 3rd Party Manufacturing

About the role

Join 3M’s innovative team in Singapore as a Production Planner focused on 3rd‑party manufacturing. You will manage end‑to‑end supply chain planning and product flow to meet customer and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and manufacturing plans based on demand, forecasts and capacity.
• Monitor and optimise material flow, inventory buffers, replenishment parameters and production schedules.
• Analyse short‑ and mid‑term capacity, equipment loading and resource requirements.
• Report key supply chain metrics such as customer service, inventory, cycle time, forecast accuracy and schedule attainment.
• Lead supply chain analysis covering inventory/buffer management, material flow, capacity planning, distribution and information flow.
• Conduct what‑if analysis and devise short‑ and long‑term solutions to address constraints and service issues.
• Identify and support IT and planning system requirements and improvements.
• Lead planning projects, promote best practices and provide training in optimisation techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Production/Operations Management, Materials Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 5–9 years of relevant supply chain, materials or production planning experience.
• APICS certification required or to be completed within an agreed timeframe.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with experience in complex planning issues.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
