About the role
The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is seeking a Programme Manager to lead and expand its tidal and ocean energy portfolio. The role will support the institute’s mission to develop innovative energy solutions for tropical megacities and contribute to regional decarbonisation efforts.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate, lead, and manage research, development, demonstration, and deployment projects in tidal and ocean energy.
- Assist the management team in defining strategic R&D focus, technical roadmaps, and technology assessments for tidal resources.
- Develop and manage joint research agreements with industry, university partners, and government agencies.
- Act as Principal Investigator for selected projects, ensuring scientific and technical targets are met.
- Provide scientific and technical leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Lead preparation of grant proposals, intellectual property filings, conference presentations, and journal publications as required by project scope.
Required profile
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in a relevant engineering, energy, or environmental science discipline.
- Proven experience managing interdisciplinary research projects in renewable or ocean energy.
- Strong track record of securing research funding and publishing scientific results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
