Project Engineer

About the role

ABB’s Marine & Ports Division is looking for a Project Engineer to act as a design authority for low‑to‑medium complexity engineering tasks. Based onsite in Singapore, you will deliver small projects or portions of larger projects, applying design‑thinking principles to support the division’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques to complete assignments.
• Participate in project meetings and resolve technical issues to meet contractual obligations.
• Provide support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
• Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects.
• Use checklists to verify designs against applicable standards and guidelines.
• Support technical risk assessments and implement resulting actions.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in project engineering.
• Demonstrated knowledge of drives and power systems.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and unexpected challenges.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid work permit for Singapore.
