Project Officer (Research Project Administration)

About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is looking for a Project Officer to join the laboratory of David Wilkowski. The project focuses on developing quantum processors at NTU. The officer manages the administrative side of the project in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator, other group members and the university's administrative offices.

Key responsibilities

• Handle finance, budgeting, manpower planning, grant administration and policy interpretation to keep operations smooth and efficient.
• Oversee procurement, including raising Purchase Requests (PR), Purchase Orders (PO) and Good Receipts (GR).
• Plan and run industry and academic seminars, colloquia and conferences, and manage logistics for local and international meetings, including travel and scheduling.
• Compile, analyse and prepare reports and claims to support decision-making.
• Maintain and update the department website with accurate information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in research, academic or administrative settings.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAP and Ariba experience is an added advantage.
