Project & QA Executive

About the role

The Project & QA Executive will support the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) department at SGS, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and in compliance with industry health and safety standards. This role combines project coordination, quality assurance leadership, and hands‑on environmental service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support all project‑management activities for the EHS department, including client follow‑up and reporting.
• Ensure operations meet client and recognized industry health‑ and safety requirements.
• Lead quality‑assurance initiatives, review reports, and guarantee full implementation of the department’s quality system.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff for quality testing and client specifications.
• Conduct third‑party inspections and collect samples when required.
• Assist in day‑to‑day operations of Environmental Services.
• Act in accordance with SGS ethics and integrity standards and perform ad‑hoc tasks as directed by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Prior field‑work experience in environmental services or testing (advantageous).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards, turnaround time and on‑time delivery.
• Capability to interact with all management levels, suppliers and clients, and to work well under pressure.
