Public Area Supervisor – Singapore

About the role

The Public Area Supervisor ensures that all public spaces within the hotel are clean, safe, and visually appealing for guests. Reporting to hotel management, the supervisor leads a team of Public Area Attendants and coordinates with engineering and other departments to maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect lobbies, corridors, restaurants, function rooms, restrooms and back‑of‑house areas to verify cleanliness and maintenance.
• Assign daily tasks to Public Area Attendants, monitor performance and record attendance.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and chemicals, ensuring proper usage and reporting any faults.
• Coordinate repairs and urgent maintenance issues with Engineering.
• Support VIP events and high‑traffic periods by adjusting cleaning schedules.
• Respond to guest feedback, implement corrective actions and uphold brand standards.

Required profile

• Experience supervising housekeeping or public‑area staff in a hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control and visual standards.
• Ability to train, guide and evaluate team members.
• Good organizational skills for roster preparation and inventory management.
