Public Relations Associate – Singapore Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a Public Relations Associate to join Shopee's Singapore PR team. This full‑time position offers the chance to work on both proactive brand storytelling and corporate reputation management in a fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of earned‑media PR initiatives that raise brand awareness and strengthen reputation in Singapore.
• Draft press releases, messaging documents, internal briefs and handle day‑to‑day communications needs.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders such as marketing, business development, partnerships, legal and operations to align on timelines, data points and approvals.
• Assist in managing media queries, monitor public sentiment and contribute to reputation‑management efforts.
• Track media coverage, compile highlights and contribute to weekly and monthly PR reports.
• Provide project‑management support across campaign rollouts, media engagement and internal communications to ensure timely execution.
• Uphold Shopee’s communications guidelines and act as a gatekeeper for message consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a PR agency or in‑house communications team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for tone and clarity.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage timelines and coordinate stakeholders.
• Proactive, accountable and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with Singapore’s media and public‑affairs landscape is a plus.
