Purchasing Executive

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Singapore is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join its Finance team. The role supports the Materials Management department, ensuring seamless procurement of food, beverage and non‑food items for the hotel while maintaining high standards of quality, cost efficiency and service.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase all food & beverage items for the hotel.
• Assist in sourcing non‑food items and manage supplier relationships.
• Negotiate prices and quality terms with suppliers.
• Monitor delivery status, coordinate with Receiving, chefs and other users to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Conduct regular yield tests, sample checks and quality audits for chilled and frozen foods.
• Maintain the Food Supplier Audit Register and support supplier audit visits.
• Track inventory counts for operating equipment and beverage stock in line with policy.
• Prepare data for departmental reports, inventory studies and other analyses.
• Handle user complaints related to purchases and ensure corrective actions.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing or procurement within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple supplier relationships.
• Good communication skills to liaise with chefs, receiving teams and internal users.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and secure best value without compromising quality.
