QA Engineer / Assistant QA Engineer

About the role

Join a leading manufacturer of electrical power distribution, control and automation systems as a QA Engineer or Assistant QA Engineer. You will support quality assurance activities across the production line and on‑site commissioning of switchboards, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing parts against specifications and procedures.
• Accurately record and manage quality data, reporting issues for corrective action.
• Segregate non‑conforming products and approve or reject parts based on quality standards.
• Conduct routine tests on in‑house manufactured switchboards and commission them on‑site or on vessels.
• Handle quality complaints, warranty issues, and manage official tests with surveyors or customers.
• Assist the QA Manager in achieving quality goals and maintain a clean, organized QA department.
• Follow safety protocols, ensure inspection tools are calibrated, and proactively prevent product non‑conformities.
• Recommend, implement, and verify solutions for identified problems and oversee resolution of non‑conforming products.

Required profile

• ITE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in electrical or switchboard manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and adhere to safety and quality standards.
