Quality Assurance Tester (Automation)

About the role

The Quality Assurance Tester (Automation) will design, develop and execute both manual and automated test cases for web‑based applications, ensuring high‑quality software releases. Working within an Agile/Scrum team, the role also leverages AI‑assisted tools to accelerate testing activities and improve regression coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop manual test cases from functional specifications and prepare functional test reports.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Design, maintain and run automated test scripts for continuous regression testing.
• Create test plans, scripts and reports for performance testing.
• Utilise AI tools to generate test plans, cases, data, automated scripts and performance test artefacts.
• Analyse logs with AI, conduct root‑cause analysis and optimise regression suites.
• Execute functional, automated and performance testing on software applications.
• Log, track, retest and report defects in the defect tracking system.
• Provide support for User Acceptance Testing and report testing progress to the project team.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Project Managers and Developers to ensure timely bug resolution.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience testing web‑based applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and high attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
