Quality Control Supervisor (Biotechnology)

About the role

MiRXES is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to join its Quality team in Singapore. The supervisor will oversee daily QC activities, inspect products at all manufacturing stages, and ensure accurate record‑keeping for raw materials, intermediates, in‑process, and finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Manage QC team performance, training, and competency assessments.
• Supervise QC Specialists and Technicians to ensure smooth routine operations.
• Plan and schedule daily QC testing, including ad‑hoc assays.
• Maintain lab housekeeping, equipment maintenance, document archival, and reagent inventory.
• Perform routine testing of raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished products.
• Evaluate data, draft QC reports, and highlight SOP deviations.
• Conduct trend analysis and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools.
• Investigate non‑conformances, raise NCRs, and determine root causes.
• Support validation and stability studies for diagnostic products.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Update work instructions and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor or Master in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology or related field.
• Experience with laboratory testing and assay‑based QC workflows.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with qPCR instruments and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 documentation practices.
• Experience in validation and stability studies.
• Root‑cause analysis and non‑conformance reporting.
• Laboratory housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and reagent inventory tracking.
