Quality Control Technician

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform inspections of purchased and manufactured parts, ensuring compliance with specifications and supporting product quality for semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment using precision measuring tools.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and sketches to verify part accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve quality issues and populate standard reports.
• Conduct intermediate problem‑solving to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Perform basic audits of inspection methods, sequences, and procedures.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with ability to apply scientific methods to quality activities.
• Understanding of how the quality team integrates with other functions.
• No supervisory responsibilities; works independently within established procedures.
• Effective communication skills for exchanging information across teams.
