Quality Team Leader – Specialty Chemicals

About the role

Lead the establishment of the Quality Control laboratory for a brand‑new specialty chemicals manufacturing plant in Singapore. You will set up analytical operations from day one, following a mandatory training period at the European headquarters, and ensure the QC function meets global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead routine and non‑routine analytical testing activities in the new QC laboratory.
• Support commissioning and setup of laboratory equipment and workstations.
• Oversee laboratory documentation, SOPs, calibration schedules, and quality records.
• Investigate product deviations, manage CAPA actions, and address customer complaints.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Quality Executives.
• Collaborate closely with Production, HSE, and overseas Quality stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in a QC laboratory within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading small laboratory teams.
• Strong background in wet chemistry and laboratory instrumentation.
• Familiarity with polyurethane, epoxy, silicone, polymer or specialty chemicals is preferred.
• Solid understanding of quality‑system requirements and manufacturing support.
