Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Manager (5‑day workweek)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Manager to lead a team of QS professionals in post‑contract administration across our construction projects. The role offers a 5‑day workweek and a competitive salary package.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a QS team handling cost control, claims processing, and final account settlement.
• Develop and monitor project budgets, cash flow, and monthly cost reports.
• Administer main contracts and sub‑contracts, overseeing variations, progress claims, extensions of time, and loss & expense claims.
• Evaluate, negotiate and award subcontractor and supplier packages in line with budgets and procurement strategies.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues and ensure contract compliance.
• Certify subcontractor payments, variation orders and final accounts.
• Drive value‑engineering and cost‑saving initiatives to improve project profitability.
• Maintain accurate commercial documentation and participate in project meetings and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial or senior‑level experience, preferably in a main‑contract environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts, contract law and local regulatory standards.
• Good understanding of local construction costs, materials and procurement practices.
• Ability to start on short notice or immediately.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software.
• Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite.
