Quantity Surveyor – Construction & M&E Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support Hamptonford Singapore in managing the cost and contractual aspects of construction and M&E projects. The role involves preparing tender evaluations, quantity take‑offs, and cost comparisons while collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate tenders and quotations and conduct quantity take‑offs for project bids.
• Source, review and compare costs from trade suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare preliminary design proposals and cost comparisons for management approval.
• Produce and review AutoCAD and M&E drawings, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Support mechanical engineering design, including ACMV calculations, duct sizing, heat‑load analysis and cost estimation.
• Provide technical assistance and advice on project administration and contractual issues.
• Perform other QS‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree, Post‑Graduate Diploma or Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Building or a related field.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Reading and interpreting M&E drawings.
• Basic ACMV design calculations and cost estimation.
