Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join OAL Builders, a private residential construction firm in Singapore. The role involves preparing and managing cost estimates, budgets and valuations to ensure projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and value.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documents for project bidding and planning.
• Conduct cost analysis, monitor budgets and forecast financial performance for each construction project.
• Evaluate variations and claims submitted by subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and fairness.
• Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations to support procurement decisions.
• Prepare progress valuations and certifications to track project financial status.
• Control project costs to ensure value for money and adherence to financial targets.

Required profile

• Certificate in Quantity Surveying (Nitec, Diploma or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Punctual and reliable in meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
