Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting and contract administration for Mechanical (ACMV) and Electrical projects. You will work closely with design, construction and procurement teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical‑ACMV and Electrical) works.
• Perform quantity take‑offs for materials and labour and validate scope against drawings.
• Develop and manage project budgets, monitor cost variations and recommend cost‑saving measures.
• Assist in tender preparation, evaluate subcontractor bids and support procurement activities.
• Administer contracts, manage variations, claims and ensure contractual compliance.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and work with design teams to optimise costs.
• Assess and mitigate cost‑related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce regular cost reports and provide analysis to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP cost estimation and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical (ACMV) and Electrical systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
