React Developer / Frontend Engineer - Banking

About the role

Fuku is looking for a highly skilled Frontend Engineer with strong expertise in React (v18+) and TypeScript, based in Singapore. The ideal candidate is well-organized, technically proficient and focused on delivering exceptional user experiences, able to collaborate effectively across the organization. Experience in the finance or banking domain is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality frontend applications using React 18+ and TypeScript.
• Translate functional and business requirements into efficient, fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and visually polished interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, refine and drive project milestones.
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness and scalability.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Support continuous improvement of development processes, tools and standards.

Required profile

• Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; able to influence and coordinate projects to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, turning requirements into structured technical implementations.
• Experience in the finance/banking industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• React 18+ and TypeScript (must-have).
• React Router, Hooks, Context API, Suspense and basic Linux shell scripting.
• State management such as Redux.
• CSS and styling best practices, UI/UX quality.
• Git and exposure to DevOps environments.
• Algorithms, data structures and system design.
• Unit and integration testing frameworks, frontend tools, micro-frontends with Module Federation, Web Components.
