Rebar & Formwork Supervisor

About the role

The Rebar & Formwork Supervisor will lead a team of steel fixers and formwork carpenters on construction sites, ensuring that reinforcement and formwork are installed to the highest standards and in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, bar‑bending schedules and formwork specifications.
• Cut, bend and install reinforcing steel (rebar) for concrete structures.
• Construct, install and dismantle timber or metal formwork, ensuring it is level, aligned and securely braced.
• Tie and secure rebar, and verify that reinforcement meets project requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and enforce site safety regulations.
• Repair and maintain formwork materials and tools.
• Assist with loading, unloading and handling of construction materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rebar fixing or steel reinforcement work.
• Experience as a formwork carpenter in the construction industry.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
• Valid driving licence (preferred or required).
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
