Recruitment Consultant – Shipping & Commodities

About the role

Achieve Group is expanding its Commodities Trading & Commercial Shipping practice and is looking for a driven Recruitment Consultant to join its specialist desk in Singapore. You will work across a dynamic, international sector, partnering with commodity trading houses, energy firms, shipowners and commercial shipping businesses throughout Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development and client engagement to candidate placement.
• Build and maintain relationships with commodity trading companies, shipping firms and related organisations.
• Identify and engage high‑calibre professionals through market mapping, networking and headhunting.
• Provide clients with market intelligence, salary benchmarks and hiring advice.
• Develop expertise in the specialist market and nurture long‑term partnerships.

Required profile

• Previous recruitment experience, preferably in professional or technical recruitment.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• A commercial mindset with a drive to generate new business.
• Curious, resilient and eager to deepen expertise in a specialist market.
