Red Team Consultant – Risk Services (Associate to Assistant Manager)

About the role

Pwc is seeking experienced offensive security professionals to join its Technology Risk Services practice. The Red Team Consultant will lead end‑to‑end security testing engagements, including red teaming, purple teaming, breach‑and‑attack simulations, penetration testing, cloud security assessments and AI security evaluations. The role blends deep technical expertise with client‑facing project management to help organisations improve detection, response and overall security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute realistic attack simulations using attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) on client environments.
• Conduct purple‑team exercises in collaboration with blue‑team analysts to validate detections and enhance logging coverage.
• Map adversary techniques to the MITRE ATT&CK framework and work with PwC’s threat intelligence team to enrich simulations.
• Develop custom tools, payloads and automation scripts to support engagements where appropriate.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing (VAPT) and source‑code reviews as required.
• Engage with clients to address concerns, manage escalations and ensure successful delivery.
• Produce comprehensive technical and executive‑level reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 1‑5 years of hands‑on offensive security experience, depending on seniority level.
• Proven experience in consulting or client‑facing cybersecurity roles.
• Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and client briefings.
