Refinery Site Supervisor – Shutdown Projects

About the role

Balanced Engineering & Construction is seeking an experienced Refinery Site Supervisor to lead repair and maintenance activities during shutdown projects. You will manage on‑site crews, coordinate with client operations, and ensure work is completed safely and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily site operations, including crew deployment, work‑front scheduling, and equipment allocation during shutdown windows.
• Assist the Project Manager with daily site activities and prepare handover documents.
• Liaise with the client and client representatives on project‑related matters.
• Plan, schedule, and organize site manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare work programs, method statements, and apply for site work permits.
• Maintain daily site diaries, progress reports, and relevant documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Attend meetings, disseminate information, and coordinate material delivery with the Purchasing Department.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in refinery or industrial shutdown projects.
• Willingness to work long hours when required.
• Independent, minimal supervision, strong team player.
• Comfortable working at heights.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
