Regional Accountant / Senior Regional Accountant (Contract)

About the role

Singapore Airlines is hiring a Regional Accountant or Senior Regional Accountant on a contract basis, within its Overseas Accounting Department of the Finance Division. The incumbent supervises and liaises with overseas stations.

Key responsibilities

• Review stations' accounts receivable and payables for the region in charge.
• Act as business partner with station users on budgeting and forecasting.
• Review cash audit checks and suspense accounts.
• Handle station queries and help troubleshoot issues.
• Assist station users with system access applications and review their segregation of duty matrices to flag discrepancies.
• Perform relief duties during the Head of Accounting Unit's absence and review accounting controls at overseas stations to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Work with the IT team and Business Technology Finance on system enhancement projects.
• Assist with month-end financial closing and other assignments and projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by ACCA.
• At least 2 to 3 years of working experience.
• Meticulous, with good numerical and analytical skills.
• Effective time management, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence others and drive change.
