Research Assistant – 3D/4D Vision & Generative AI

About the role

NTU's College of Computing and Data Science is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to advance cutting‑edge work in 3D/4D scene reconstruction, rendering, and generative AI. You will join a vibrant team focused on AI, data science, and computing innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on 3D/4D scene reconstruction and rendering techniques such as NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and novel view synthesis.
• Develop generative AI models for video, 3D/4D generation, world models, and vision‑language (VLM) or vision‑language‑action (VLA) systems.
• Build and maintain large‑scale data pipelines supporting research experiments.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and journals, contribute to open‑source releases, and mentor junior researchers.
• Report project progress to supervisors and collaborators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, AI, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Strong research record in computer vision or machine learning.
• Highly analytical, proactive, independent, and able to work well in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
