Research Assistant – Leadership Development in Education

About the role

The Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Assistant to support a project on leadership development in educational settings. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator and project collaborators to ensure smooth execution of research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations, administration, and logistics of the research project.
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare progress reports, presentations, and visual materials.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, transcribe recordings, and manage qualitative data collection.
• Perform field observations, document analyses, and assist with qualitative data analysis.
• Maintain accurate project records, secure data management systems, and ensure confidentiality.
• Support procurement of research materials and equipment as required.
• Organise meetings, workshops, and dissemination activities.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Principal Investigator.

Required profile

• Bachelor's (Honours) degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Educational Research or a related discipline.
• Experience with qualitative research methods is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project‑coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Knowledge of data‑management best practices and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel for data‑collection activities when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
