Research Assistant/Associate – Cell & Molecular Biology

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant or Associate to join a dynamic team investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of skeletal ageing. The role combines active participation in cutting‑edge research projects with essential laboratory support duties.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to ongoing scientific projects, including experimental planning and execution.
• Maintain cell cultures, reagents, and imaging workflows.
• Support data analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
• Assist the Principal Investigator with grant management, reporting, and documentation.
• Coordinate laboratory purchases, manage inventory, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Research Assistant) or Master’s degree (Research Associate) in Biological/Biomedical Sciences, related disciplines, or Veterinary Sciences.
• Strong passion for research and a proactive, detail‑oriented attitude.
• Previous experience as a research assistant or in a laboratory setting is desirable.
