Research Assistant/Associate – Translational Cancer & Microbiome

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Assistant/Associate to support translational research focused on cancer and microbiome science. The role involves both wet‑lab and clinical activities, contributing to the discovery of microbiome‑related biomarkers and therapeutic strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑vitro experiments using molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture, and microbial culture.
• Assist with in‑vivo animal studies, including experimental procedures, sample collection, monitoring, and record‑keeping.
• Support clinical research activities such as participant recruitment, data and biospecimen collection, study coordination, and protocol compliance.
• Collaborate with research fellows and investigators on both wet‑lab and dry‑lab tasks related to host‑microbiome interactions and disease mechanisms.
