Research Associate – Cryptography & Automated Cryptanalysis

About the role

The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at NTU Singapore is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to the Temasek Labs project “CRATOL – Cryptanalysis with Tools Development”. The role focuses on advancing cryptographic research, automated cryptanalysis, and machine learning within an academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement research prototypes in cryptography, automated cryptanalysis, and machine learning.
• Prepare technical reports and presentation materials for the CRATOL project.
• Publish research findings in relevant conferences and journals.

Required profile

• MSc in Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong initiative.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in automated cryptanalysis is a strong plus.
• Experience in machine learning is a strong plus.
