About the role

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at NTU Singapore seeks a Research Associate to advance targeted antimicrobial systems and develop assays for bacterial infections. You will work on creating detection probes and optimizing microbiological and in‑vivo safety assays.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, test and optimise sensing platforms for bacterial infection detection and antimicrobial activity assessment.
Develop probes and assay procedures suitable for clinical diagnostic laboratory applications.
Conduct microbiological and antimicrobial assays, including experimental design, execution and data analysis.
Evaluate and validate platform performance using samples from animal models.

Required profile

Master's degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Biology or a related discipline.
Hands‑on laboratory experience with in‑vivo studies.
Strong teamwork, communication and responsibility.
