Research Associate – WebAssembly and Formal Verification

About the role

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) College of Computing and Data Science seeks a motivated Research Associate to advance research on the WebAssembly programming language and related formal verification techniques. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact publications and collaborate with leading academic and industrial partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on WebAssembly and its formal verification.
• Publish findings in top conferences and journals.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students involved in the project.
• Collaborate with industrial and academic partners on joint research activities.
• Perform any other duties related to the research programme as required.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Background in formal verification and programming language theory.
• Experience with interactive theorem proving and/or Web programming is valuable.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across projects.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn.
• Capability to work with limited supervision while being an effective team member.
