Research Fellow – Automatic Programming

About the role

The School of Computing at the National University of Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to join its Automated Program Repair project. This multi‑year, Ministry of Education Tier‑3 programme focuses on building autonomous software‑engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research in automatic programming and program repair.
• Design, implement, and evaluate machine‑learning and static‑analysis techniques for software debugging.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across several related research projects.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and journals.
• Contribute to open‑source tools such as AutoCodeRover.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in machine learning and static methods for program repair.
• Strong analytical abilities, scientific writing skills, and the capacity to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
