Research Fellow - Cancer Genomics Bioinformatics

About the role

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University is looking for a Research Fellow to support bioinformatics research in cancer genomics. The role focuses on analysing genomic and clinical data and supporting the development of a breast cancer survival prediction model.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret cancer genomic and associated clinical data using bioinformatics and statistical methods.
• Perform data cleaning, quality control and integration, and maintain reproducible analysis scripts and records.
• Assist in developing and evaluating survival prediction models for breast cancer research.
• Provide day-to-day bioinformatics support to the PhD student, including analyses and figures for thesis completion and defence.
• Work with the research team to prepare figures, reports and manuscripts, and communicate findings.

Required profile

• PhD qualification in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Biostatistics or a related field.
• Experience in bioinformatics or genomic data analysis through coursework, research projects or employment.
• Familiarity with cancer genomics and statistical methods.
