Research Fellow – Cytoskeletal Biochemistry & Biophysics

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, focusing on cytoskeletal biochemistry and biophysics. The role involves interdisciplinary investigation of cellular processes and development of innovative tools in cell biology.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct experimental research using quantitative biochemistry, biophysics, and cell biology.
• Develop and optimise advanced technologies targeting cytoskeletal dynamics.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within SBS and external partners.
• Analyse, interpret, and present research findings in written reports and publications.
• Contribute to the preparation of grant applications and scientific manuscripts.

Required profile

• A PhD degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in quantitative biochemical and biophysical techniques.
• Strong background in cell biology, particularly cytoskeleton‑related research.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and work collaboratively.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
