Research Fellow – Data Privacy, Machine Learning & Cryptography

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to lead independent investigations in data privacy, machine learning and applied cryptography within NTU’s College of Computing and Data Science.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake independent research in data privacy, machine learning, and applied cryptography.
• Produce research papers and reports for funding bodies and the wider academic community.
• Provide guidance and support to students involved in the project.
• Attend, contribute to, and when required, lead relevant meetings.
• Perform any other duties relevant to the research programme.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a strong team player.
• Excellent teamwork and verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven research record demonstrated by publications, conference papers or patents.
• In‑depth knowledge of the project domain and ability to conduct innovative research.
• Capability to formulate hypotheses, design experimental plans and implement new methods.
• Experience overseeing and reporting project progress.
