Research Fellow (Geomodelling)

About the role

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks an outstanding Research Fellow with a strong background in geomodelling, geophysical and geotechnical investigation, geomechanical engineering, and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project‑related research on geophysical/geomechanical investigation, geomodelling, data analytics, and machine learning.
• Process and analyse geophysical/geomechanical data and build a 3D geological model.
• Supervise undergraduate students and author project reports and scientific articles.

Required profile

• PhD in Geophysics, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a related field from a recognised university.
• Strong background in 3D geomodelling development.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Expertise in geophysics, geotechnics and geomechanics.
• Expertise in big data analytics.
• Publication track record is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines.
