Research Fellow – Integrated Photonics

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Research Fellow to advance its Integrated Photonics Laboratory. The role focuses on the design, fabrication, and testing of cutting‑edge photonic components within a world‑class cleanroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate integrated photonics components such as waveguides and grating couplers.
• Perform micro‑ and nano‑fabrication of photonic devices in cleanroom facilities.
• Carry out experimental characterization of integrated photonic chips.
• Provide general research support to the i‑Lab team.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated research experience in photonics with a strong publication record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
