Research Fellow (Micro‑Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) Development)

About the role

We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of microfabrication, functional soft materials, and bioactive delivery systems. The role will focus on developing micro‑/nanostructured material platforms for controlled release, biological screening, microbial culture, and food or biomedical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with project objectives.
• Design and perform experiments, analyse data, and interpret findings.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, presentations, and other research outputs.
• Contribute to grant proposals and project documentation.
• Mentor and support junior researchers and students.
• Maintain accurate research records and ensure compliance with safety and institutional guidelines.
• Collaborate with external partners and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• PhD degree in a relevant discipline such as MEMS development.
• Relevant research experience gained through doctoral training or equivalent activities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, and capable of contributing to publications and project deliverables.
