About the role
The National Institute of Education (NIE) is seeking a Research Fellow on a 20‑month fixed‑term contract within the Natural Sciences and Science Education Department. The fellow will lead a study that examines the adoption and adaptation of integrated science resources for Primary 5 and Primary 6 learners in Singapore.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the research team in data collection, analysis, and preparation of research publications.
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches related to primary science education.
- Engage with schools and teachers to disseminate research findings.
- Present research outcomes at international conferences.
- Perform any additional administrative duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Required profile
- PhD in Science Education or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience teaching science in K‑12 schools.
- Experience developing teaching resources at the national level.
- Strong academic publication record in Science Education.
- Proficiency with mixed‑method research approaches, including quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
