Research Fellow – Probabilistic Machine Learning & GenAI

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to advance probabilistic machine learning and generative AI. You will design innovative sequence models, explore continual learning, and develop Bayesian approaches for uncertainty quantification and decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cutting‑edge research in probabilistic AI/ML, focusing on scalable sequence network architectures.
• Publish research papers, draft patent applications, and contribute to annual reports.
• Collaborate with faculty, research staff, and graduate students on robotics and AI projects.
• Engage with industry and open‑source communities to explore emerging research directions.
• Supervise graduate students and support joint research initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated track record of innovative research and scholarly publications.
