About the role
The Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow with a strong background in seismology. The fellow will lead the development of advanced methods to study earthquake nucleation and propagation, contributing to both independent and collaborative projects.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced approaches for earthquake source analysis.
- Apply developed methodologies to seismic data from Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian region.
- Publish high‑impact research articles in leading international journals.
- Assist in preparing competitive research proposals.
- Support supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.
Required profile
- PhD in seismology or solid geophysics.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in earthquake monitoring.
- Familiarity with the scientific literature and relevant software tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
