Resident Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Architect to lead the supervision of architectural works on a major construction project. The role involves ensuring that contractors meet contract, authority and client requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all architectural works, verifying compliance with contracts, statutory codes and agency requirements.
• Oversee the architectural team, provide endorsements, and review drawings, specifications, method statements, risk assessments and safety designs.
• Assist the Qualified Person (Design) in applications for TOP and CSC, and prepare site supervision plans.
• Monitor project progress, prepare site progress reports, and ensure timely completion.
• Conduct roving safety inspections, manage incident response, and report accidents, near‑misses and safety performance.
• Liaise with the Officer in Charge (OIC) and Qualified Persons (Design) to highlight discrepancies and missing details.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural and fit‑out works, with at least 5 years on major building projects.
• Degree recognised by the Board of Architects (BOA) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of statutory codes, quality control procedures and construction administration.
• Proven leadership abilities and familiarity with Workplace Safety & Health Manual procedures.
