Resident Physician - Digestive Health

About the role

Woodlands Hospital, a next-generation integrated acute and community hospital in Singapore, is recruiting a Resident Physician for its new Digestive Health Clinic. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centred care for gastrointestinal conditions, help train junior doctors in gastroenterology and take part in quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous clinical practice standards based on at least three years of experience in relevant medical settings
• Deliver high-quality care for gastrointestinal conditions and adapt quickly to changing situations in a fast-paced clinic
• Apply sound clinical judgement and patient management skills, managing complex cases under specialist supervision
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams, in spoken and written English
• Align practice with Singapore Medical Council standards and keep current registration or meet its criteria
• Adapt to evolving gastroenterology protocols and emergency gastrointestinal situations

Required profile

• MBBS qualification and at least 3 years of experience as a Medical Officer in relevant clinical settings
• Eligibility to register with the Singapore Medical Council (local and foreign-trained candidates must meet SMC requirements)
• Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate
• Strong English proficiency
