Resident Physician, Palliative Care

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Physician specialized in Palliative Care to join our multi‑disciplinary hospice team. The role involves delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care to residents, ensuring their health status is communicated clearly and their wishes respected.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to develop, review, and update individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to changes in residents' functional status or condition.
• Inform residents about their health, support self‑determination, and manage advance directives.
• Conduct joint rounds with the staff nurse to verify implementation of care plans.
• Perform regular resident check‑ups, diagnose ailments, prescribe medication, and arrange specialist referrals as needed.
• Promote an enhanced care philosophy among nursing staff.

Required profile

• Basic medical degree recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
• Experience working with elderly patients or a Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine, Family Medicine, or related fields (advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
