Resident Technical Officer (RTO)

About the role

The Resident Technical Officer (RTO) will oversee mechanical and electrical (M&E) works on construction sites, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and statutory requirements while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, supervise and inspect M&E works against approved drawings, specifications and regulatory standards.
• Ensure all site activities are performed safely and meet project quality benchmarks.
• Conduct inspections to identify non‑conformities, discrepancies and technical issues during construction.
• Apply statutory codes and site supervision requirements to enforce QA/QC procedures.
• Monitor contractor performance and workmanship to support timely project delivery.
• Support authority inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation.

Required profile

• Middle‑management level experience in construction site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems and statutory regulations.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues on site.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
