Restaurant Captain – Guest Service Lead

About the role

The Restaurant Captain will lead the front‑of‑house team to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests. Reporting to the Assistant Manager or F&B Manager, you will oversee service standards, manage reservations, and handle guest inquiries in both Mandarin and English.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, respond promptly to inquiries, and address complaints during the shift.
• Supervise service delivery, ensuring timely and consistent order fulfillment.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of menu items and restaurant offerings.
• Conduct shift briefings and brief staff on operational requirements.
• Monitor and replenish F&B supplies such as cutlery, dinnerware, and glassware.
• Manage the table reservation system and coordinate the service crew.
• Oversee maintenance cycles for service equipment and ensure hygiene and safety compliance.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties assigned by the Assistant Manager or F&B Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar restaurant or hospitality role.
• Proven ability to lead and manage crew members.
• Strong problem‑solving and training capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English.
• Customer‑service oriented mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
