Restructuring & Insolvency Manager

About the role

The Restructuring and Insolvency team works with industry professionals, companies and their stakeholders to resolve issues affecting profitability, protect enterprise value and facilitate a full recovery where possible. The team is described as collaborative and supportive, with leaders who guide and teach junior members. This is a permanent position based in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute day-to-day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements, including liquidation, receivership, judicial management, schemes of arrangement, monitoring and exceptional accounts, debt restructuring and personal insolvency work
• Liaise with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors
• Prepare draft correspondence, reports and presentations
• Reconstruct complex accounting records from incomplete information
• Carry out investigative work to recover assets for the insolvent estate and analyse the company, including financial modelling where necessary
• Take part in client meetings and strategy discussions with supervisors and partners
• Handle statutory and compliance matters for insolvency cases
• Assist in department networking and marketing activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or another relevant field
• At least 6 years of experience in a restructuring and insolvency team, preferably within a professional services firm, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity
• Experience supervising junior members and managing a variety of projects and engagements
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment, with strong organisation and detail orientation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Financial modelling is an advantage
