Risk Analyst – Onboarding (Fixed‑term)

About the role

Adyen is looking for a Fixed‑term Risk Analyst to join its APAC Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team in Singapore. You will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Compliance, Risk, Regulatory and Finance to assess new and existing merchants from a risk, regulatory and compliance perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments for prospective, new and existing merchants, especially those in high‑risk industries.
• Evaluate merchant due‑diligence, own risk decisions and mitigation as the first line of defence.
• Investigate and resolve blockers to merchant go‑live and payouts related to CDD matters.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert on KYC matters for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance and quality adherence with evolving CDD/EDD regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise the end‑to‑end merchant onboarding process.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in a risk or compliance‑related role.
• Detail‑oriented with solid understanding of CDD, EDD and AML/CFT internal controls.
• Solutions‑oriented mindset, able to balance merchant priorities with risk appetite.
• Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced operational environment and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Proactive learner who shares knowledge with the wider team.
• Strong interest in operational processes, able to manage multiple work streams independently.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across commercial, product and compliance teams.
• Knowledge of the payments environment is a plus.
