Sales Engineering Manager – APJ Region

About the role

The Sales Engineering Manager will lead and grow a regional team of Sales Engineers across Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand, Korea and Japan. Reporting to the Head of Sales Engineering, you will combine technical expertise with go‑to‑market leadership to drive adoption of Sierra’s AI Agent platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Sales Engineers across APJ, providing onboarding, development and performance guidance.
• Set and track KPIs, ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales and technical targets.
• Design and demo Sierra’s Agent product, delivering technical solutions and answering customer questions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering to drive go‑to‑market initiatives and improve the product based on customer feedback.
• Lead customer engagements from early conversations, anticipate needs and align solutions with business outcomes.
• Identify and strengthen partnership between Sales Engineering and Sales teams to ensure seamless handoffs and joint strategies.
• Build and adapt the sales engineering motion for each APJ market, working with regional sales leaders to grow Sierra’s presence.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience managing Sales Engineers or Solutions Engineers, including demo creation and GTM involvement.
• Proven track record of leading Sales Engineering teams in APJ markets (Southeast Asia, ANZ, Korea, Japan).
• Experience engaging with enterprise customers, including executives and technical leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
